Project Overview

The Breakthrough T1D One Night Gala is an annual fundraising gala hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter. The event brings together more than 400 prominent philanthropic leaders from central and coastal Virginia to raise critical funds for type one diabetes (T1D) research. The One Night Gala features a seated dinner, silent and live auctions, the opportunity to directly fund research through our Fund A Cure program, and an After Party to remember.

Event Highlights

25% overall YoY revenue growth with an additional $140K raised in 2024 vs. 2023
53% increase in attendees in 2024 vs. 2023
81% growth in auction sales in 2024 vs. 2023
Introduced new activations in 2024 including Heads or Tails Raffle Game generating $8,700 in new sales
Concepted new display boards and signage for auction items, contributing to 81% growth in auction sales
Secured, advertised, and sold last minute addition to Live Auction 48 hours before the Gala of Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets

For the Breakthrough T1D One Night Gala, I supervise the Coordinator and assist with the successful logistics, execution, and planning of this annual 300+ attendee event. The One Night Gala is a black-tie optional fundraising gala based out of the Richmond, VA market.
